Prefolds and Flats The workhorse of cloth diapering.  The prefolds and flats are the absorbent portion of you basic cloth diapering system.

 

Contours and Fitted These shaped cloth diapers are made to wrap your baby in comfort and make it easier for mom. The contour diapers are hourglass shaped cloth diapers often with extra absorbency in the middle. The Fitted diapers are also shaped but also include a fastener.

Diaper Covers/Wraps This is the waterproof outer layer that protects the baby's clothing and Aunt Georgie's lap.

 

All-in-ones and Pockets All-in-ones (AIO) go on the baby like a disposable.  The absorbent cloth and the waterproof outer are all one piece, all-in-one.
